We had so many fires this year!
This one wasn't close to home,
but ended up being so huge!

Always draping things from her head and hair
to pretend she has Rapunzel-length locks!
Here she's dipping me up some bead soup...mmm, good!
Bob and I are always joking around about how on Weatherbug,
it will say some high temp like 108 and then say... but it feels like 107!
It always seems to "feel" one degree cooler than the actual temp,
which seems like a joke really.
Well, this particular day, it actually said it felt 4 degrees warmer!
It was a pretty hot day...
and we even had menacing clouds,
though nothing much came of them.
k started putting her little stool by the sofa and announcing
that she was going upstairs to her bedroom.
This is where she ended up. So cute!
You know k loves herself some corn on the cob!
This had actually been sitting for a while before I took the pic,
but it's not beyond us night owls to have dinner this late
from time to time, particularly when it requires cooking
on an already hot day!

ReplyDeleteThat was soooo funny about the weather temperature being one degree off. Marie and I were talking about the Fairbanks' sense of humor the other day. How our sense of humor is different from Weldon's sense of humor. We, the Fairbanks, find humor and laugh over little every day things such as one degree of temperature. We see the humor in that! I can remember living in California that the temp was so hot we really believed we could fry an egg on the sidewalk!!!
Keira is so beautiful with her Rapunzel hair--I am partial to long hair so I can understand Keiza's dreaming about long hair. (Bob, Chris & Sean, Jeremy, Shuan--also had long hair and they liked it--it was upsetting when they all cut it, but I like it short also)
That was funny also that Keira said she was going upstaires to sleep and then she ended up on the Couch with the big cow pillow instead. The Couch with the TV running is so soothing!!!! especially when sick or very tired.
I wish I lived there sometimes and wish I could have corn on the cob with mashed potatoes. Keira and Bob are lucky for having such a good cook, cooking for them.
The menacing clouds were so fascinating. They are so fun to look at and wonder what they will bring.
Keira is ALL girl in liking Miss Kitty. Again, thanks for your blogs.

I never thought about it being the Fairbanks' sense of humor, but I suppose it is! I always thought the same thing about frying eggs on sidewalks, growing up in AZ. Never did try it though. I like long hair, I like short hair, so have it which ever way you feel like, I say. :-) Yes, Keira's upstairs bedroom isn't so far away, really. It tickles me though.
