At the end of July we headed to Hollywood for a Gap Kids casting.
Like most castings we've attended, nothing came of it,
but we still had a good time.
Milk has the nicest studios we've seen to date,
even better than Guess!
So I took lots of cool pics and figured
they merited their own post. So here we go!
Keira, looking so vogue in her pose.
Out front.
Inside the studio.
Parents, kiddos, and Gap Kids peeps all doing their thing.
Little girls climbing the walls!
Meeting with the photog for a few shots.
Adorbs!
With Daddy in front of the huge, stainless steel doors of Studio 4.
In the front lobby.
Off to the right is a coffee/breakfast/snack counter.
It looks as if Keira is all by her lonesome,
but she's not.
See?
Just relaxing...
and checking to see if the orchids are fragrant.
They weren't.
Keira inside, mama outside.
I love her little palms in this shot.
Adorable clothes and sandals from Grannie & Auntie Tiffiney.
Heading back to the rental car so we can start for home.

That was nice to see the inside of the "Milk" company for "shots" of our cutie pie Keira. She is so photogenic. Her face is so angelic. I liked how the Milk company was ALL white walls so as NOT to distract from the children's clothing.
ReplyDeleteHow many hours do you and Bob have to travel to Hollywood?
Of course I love seeing Bob. He was always so good looking that he could have modeled clothes too. However in my parent's day I don't think modeling clothes was in the agenda. My parents were into ART and the boys got a lot of practice and training in that. Therefore my own children were encouraged in art and we never thought of modelling-- that was very creative of you Shiloh.
So when you rent a car do they accept your debit card, Shiloh? I am just remembering your horrible experience in trying to rent a car getting back from North Carolina. I guess I don't get the difference since you are in CA for both experiences.
How many kids to Jon and Kathy have? I am only familiar with Mike and Rachael--we discussed this before and I remember a Teddy or Freddie & maybe a few more. Please refresh my memory.
That was funny about the Sandwiches you made for Jon and Bob. With the oven on that long I am surprised they didn't catch the house on fire. I remember once that Heidi's oven caught on Fire from all the grease. Luckily I caught it in time and put the fire out.
Love Joy
It takes us an hour and a half to get to Hollywood, when the traffic is good that is. When it's bad it's more like two and a half hours. So you always have to give yourself plenty of time. Joe told me a long time ago, if you're not an hour early, you're late. That's how it goes when you're going to LA. It's so neat that your parents had such a love of art and music. Getting Keira into modeling was not creative of me at all. After Keira was born, everyone, and I mean virtually every.one. suggested it. Even before we left the NICU it was suggested! It didn't matter if we went to home depot, the zoo, or the grocery store, Keira was the star attraction and people would always make comments about how beautiful she was, that she was a model baby, that I should have her in modeling, etc. We were also encouraged by Auntie Tiffiney and Chita. And so I got to thinking that we should just take advantage of living in the greater LA area and see what comes of it. I tell people it's just something we play at, because that's truly how I see it. Nothing too serious. We just want Keira to have fun and make some good memories along the way. That's it. Yes, I rent with a debit card. That's why it was crazy that the same company wouldn't accept it at LAX. It doesn't make sense. Cest la vie! Jon and Kathy have six kids. There's Mike, Rachel, Freddie, Becky, Amberly, and Lee. Not necessarily in that order, though it's close. I can't recall if Freddie or Becky is older. Yikes! Grease fires can be scary. I'm glad you caught it!
