Surprise visit from Uncle Jon.
It's definitely been a long time but it seems just like old times.
Keira was so proud of the little twist she made.
Going around the yard with her little pail and shovel.
Her pail was full of water and as she would
scoop some out to toss onto the plants and flowers,
she would yell, "Let's grow! Let's grow!" :-)
Watching Siomara this week while Sam went to summer school.

Shiloh, it happened again. I wrote a reply and then before I could send it--my comments disappeared so if you receive (but I don't think so) twice pardon me. It was so nice seeing Jon again. Was he at work in your area, so he stopped by? I just love it when Bob can visit with relatives or his brothers and sister. He enjoys the visits so much. His whole body just shakes with happiness.
ReplyDeleteKeira little twist around her books was so precious. She is such a creative girl. Also her little stubby nose when sleeping is so gorgeous. I remember when growing up that I always envied my sister Marie's nose. It was little and stubby. Years later I found out she was always envious of my nose which was straight and noble. It is the same with wavy and straight hair. If we have straight we envy the curly and if we have curly we envy the straight. Did you notice this?

I noticed Siomara playing with Keira. Did she join kindergarten? It is nice Keira has a playmate during the day. I was so lonely in Duchene Utah, that I had to have an imaginary friend named 'Mogley" that I played with each day. Collette's imaginary friend was called "Betty". At least Keira has a flesh and bone friend.
Why does Keira have a "work permit"? Is it for gap for kids? I suppose you have to renew each year. How does this affect your income tax?

Nope, I didn't receive your comments twice. I hate losing stuff just after you've typed it all up. Ugh! Yes, Jon was working in San Diego I guess, so he had Rachel contact me via facebook to get in touch with Bob. Yes, they both had a really enjoyable visit together. Keira and I headed off to church and left them here at the house. I had some hot sandwiches in the oven when I left and I kept reminding them they would be done in just a few minutes and not to forget about them. Well, they remembered the hot sandwiches and enjoyed their lunch as they talked, but of course, they left the oven on! So by the time we got home from church it was roasting the entire house! They just said, "We were wondering about it being so hot in here." I guess turning off the oven just never occurred to them! At least they didn't burn the sandwiches!
DeleteKeira's little twist was made with the laces from her lacing cards. They're just cards with pictures of insects and holes around them that you're supposed to lace/stitch the laces through. It's quiet fun for Keira when were in Sacrament meeting. Sometimes we just put all the cards together and drape the laces down like they're hair, and we braid or twist them and then take them apart again. Keira does have a cute little button nose. Stela would tell you she got it from me. Stela always liked my nose over her own. I never knew until we were older. I never had even thought about the differences in our noses before. Yes, I think it's human nature to want what we don't have. Mostly I try to be thankful for what I have though, and not worry too much about what I don't.
Yes, Siomara has started kindergarten now, so Keira doesn't see her much these days. But Keira has plenty of imaginary friends as well. Primarily, it's Princess Alaya. But there's also Ballerina, and she will also pretend to be Keira's mama, Keira's sister, etc, or even a musician/dancer named Peach Cobbler when she's in the mood to sing and dance. So sometimes she's playing with imaginary friends, and at other times she's playing the part of imaginary friends. She's quite good at entertaining herself when she wants to.
Keira's work permit is to model, per CA state law, and is only good for six months. Our taxes aren't affected at all. I actually haven't used the oregano at all yet! I should get to drying some soon! I like it in spaghetti and pizza, of course, but also chicken, and I even use some in my homemade taco seasoning. Mmm.
