Watermelon on a sunny Memorial Day afternoon.
Steak, Caesar salad, & corn on the cob for dinner.
You can guess what Keira's fave is.
Happy 25th anniversary to Bob & I!
Sweet morsels from Keira's plants.
Finally got the alphabet cards laminated for her.
One of two tutus I made for our neighbor, Penny, for her daughter Karli's talent show, which we were also able to attend. Fun!
Now I need to get one for Keira!
From the play-doh kitchen.
It's been a while.
Your dinner looked delicious--lucky Keira and Bob. I have a question: "Is Keira's favorite dinner item corn on the cob or watermelon" She was eating corn on the cob--is that more of a favorite than watermelon?
ReplyDeleteThe tutu you made for the neighbors was so cute. Do you know what color Keira's will be?
Keira's little handful of homegrown strawberries was so tantalizing. I can remember when young my Aunt sending us to pick strawberries and I swear we got more in our mouths than the pails. I never knew we were poor when growing up because we always had peaches and cream or all kinds of berries and cream, along with sun-kissed tomatoes and fresh baked bread. I guess girls don't need as much food as boys because Bob was always hungry. I guess Chris, my son, remembers being hungry too. But in his case he would just dream about eating a hamburger and be full. Makes me feel bad though for children.
Tell Keira her play dough lunch looked good. She plays so cute and has such a good imagination.
Love Joy
Corn on the cob is her fave, although she loves watermelon, too! Both are a treat, for sure! Yes, Keira picked out a purple tutu. She loves it! I wish I could have grown up with you, and all those peaches & cream & berries! Yum! Also the tomatoes & freshly baked bread! I can't blame you for eating more than you brought home. That's as it should be, I think! Keira just ate the first ripe tomato a few days ago! mmm!
DeleteI spy the sunflower plants behind Keira while eating her corn on the cob. You said last year that the gophers got the sunflowers except for Ellie. Are the sunflowers past the time (I hope) of gophers getting to the sunflowers? Is the third plants behind Keira's hair or some where else in the garden? Considering how much Bob loves sunflowers seeds I hope all three grow up big and tall. Did you see that Patty and Joe decided to grow a sunflower this year? Bob's yard always inspires me to go buy a plant for the yard. My yard is beautiful this year. I am not a horticulturist like Bob or my friend, so I just buy instead of gather seeds or cut plants.

Yes, there are three this year. I think we only lost one. But it's been a lot hotter, earlier this year, so they're pretty small, compared to Ellie, anyway!:-) No, I haven't seen Joe & Chita's. I'll have to ask them about it! Even if you buy, you can have a wonderful garden. I prefer starts to seeds myself.:-)
DeleteOh, what kind of drink did you have for dinner--was is some kind of iced tea? Bob and Keira are lucky to have such a good cook in the house.

Bob meant to grab rootbeer, but didn't realize A&W also makes some kind of vanilla flavored soda, & that's what he grabbed. It wasn't as tasty as rootbeer, in my opinion, but it wasn't too bad.:-)
DeleteThanks for telling me about the root-beer. I didn't know that A&W made another flavor either-- vanilla.
ReplyDeleteI noticed Keira cute little suit-case that you took to NC. Does she keep Barbie's clothes in it when not being used to go on a trip? or what?
Joy
Yeah, it's actually vanilla creme soda. Like I said, not too bad!:-) I asked Keira if she wanted to put something in her trunki but she said no, not right now. Perhaps the next time we go through her toys we will decide to put stuff in there. Barbie's clothes is an EXCELLENT suggestion! Thanks!
