Snippets 9.52

I pulled out the porcelain dolls so Keira could have some not-so-furry guests at her tea party. She was in heaven!

This is the edition of Project Life I am using to document 2013, & I am loving it!

Sick again...ugh!

A little gift from Keira that she plucked from the yard. These miniature daffodils sure don't smell miniature! aaaahhh.

Outside on the staircase, daddy found that Keira had stuffed this bottle, which was already full of water, with flowers & leaves. Nice.

A slight detour on our way to the post office. It's neat to see where Bob's been spending his time & the projects he's been working on.

Keira requested daddy do a drawing for her, so he drew her on the bunk bed we still have yet to set up. Someday, Keira... hopefully soon!

  1. How wonderful--Porcelain Dolls. How many porcelain dolls do you have? Tell me about them and when you got them--how old were you? The look of Keira's face as she poured tea for them is priceless.

The daffodils Keira picked looked so beautiful. I can smell them from here. I remember when they had Aunt Emma's Funeral all her kids talked about digging up the daffodils out by the airport and transplanting to their new house in Albion. I guess everyone loves daffodils. That was funny that Bob found a bottle stuffed full of flowers and leaves on your outside stairs. Keira sure does love the outside. I am sorry she is under the weather again.

Tell me about Bob's work? Is he working in their yards (landscaping) or working inside their houses or both? What time does he usually get home from work?

I sure do hope that Bob has time to put up Keira's bunk bed soon. She looks so happy just thinking about them and drawing them.

    Love Joy

    1. We only have 3 porcelain dolls. The two smaller dolls, in the floral dress & hat with the reddish hair in curls, & in the blue outfit & beret with the dark hair, were given to me by my mother when I was a young girl. So they're about 30 years old. The larger doll in the peachy satin with the reddish curls & ribbon in her hair, is a Marie Osmond doll I purchased way back when. So she's about 10 years old. They're usually put away in a box since we don't have display space for them, but I pull them out every once in a while for Keira to enjoy, & she sure does! Keira is feeling alright now. These photos were from the end of February. Although, we believe now that Keira may be allergic to dairy. So we're avoiding it as much as possible these days & need to get her tested. Bob works helping out a neighbor doing any number of things, in this case building & painting that staircase & the bathroom underneath it, behind an office building in Redlands. The work varies & the times vary. He would love to do more landscaping work though. Yes, we need to find the time & space to set up Keira's bunk bed still. She will love it, I'm sure!

  2. Every little girl in the whole world should have a porcelain doll. That is cool that you have 3. They have porcelain dolls on QVC. I loved to watch QVC whenever they showed the porcelain dolls and spent many hours daydreaming about them. Did you go to Marie Osmond's doll site on the WEB to get yours? This is weird, but one time I bought a beautiful Marie Osmond doll but every time I walked passed her she was crying big tears. I don't remember what I was going through back then, but dolls are supposed to be happy not sad, so I had to send her back because I couldn't stand to see her cry every time I entered the room. (Maybe Marie Osmond was sad when she made her???I just don't remember now).

Thanks for explaining about Bob's work. Even though he is a gifted artist, he is also a gifted landscaper.

I love the way Bob portrays Keira on the bunk bed. Her eyes are so big and her smile is so happy and BIG.

I hope she isn't allergic to DIARY. Let me know.

    1. I got the Marie Osmond doll from QVC actually. That's too bad about the sad doll. Yes, Bob is definitely gifted in so many things. I can't wait to get Keira's bunk bed set up. Hopefully soon! I will keep you posted on the allergies.
