Snippets 8.52

At church.

I love coming across evidence of Keira's activities.

Keira decided this little, yellow flower needed some water, so she took some of the white flowers out of the vase & stuffed the yellow flower in. Nice, Keira.

Excited to put on her new sparkly pink shoes, even though they're too big still.

Yeah, this. See that blob of red about to drip off her hand? It did. Onto the carpet. Mama forgot to put down the drop cloth. Oh well. Mama cleaned up the mess, too.

Hooray for pictures! Some were sent to family & some were for Project Life albums.

I've gotta include layouts with Keira's pictures, too!

  1. I loved Keira's little green dress. She is such a doll in all her church dresses. You can't help but want to scoop her up and hug and kiss her. I really loved her new pink sparkly shoes. I want a pair they are so cute.

That was kind of Keira to put the little yellow flower in water. What a compassionate girl.

The red finger paint causing paint to fall on the rug was funny--it was funny to all except the person who had to clean it up. Children are always full of surprises. I remember that Grandma watched Lance while his parents were at work. While she was busy making breakfast he spread cold cream all over Grandma's bed quilt, and while she was cleaning that up he spread tooth paste all over the toilet seat, and while cleaning that up Lance went into the kitchen and dumped flour on the kitchen floor and poured milk and broke an egg into the flour. What a kid!!! Now Lance was a real challenge to the sanity of the mind.

What was Stel and Jeff doing when the earth quake hit? Earth quakes are scary even the mild ones. Weldon always secured everything with tape and nails in Oroville. Do you have everything secured where you live? That is the only thing I don't like about CA even though the most beautiful place on earth---or is Hawaii the most beautiful? Tell me more about your visit with Stel. Is Keira completely comfortable with them now?

  2. I remember those stories about Lance! He sure was incorrigible, wasn't he? Stel was just waking up in their beautiful room at the Palm Springs Weston Spa & Resort, & Jeff was at a function for the conference he was attending there. Stel thought it was so exciting! Welcome to California!, I told her! At least 5.2 is a bit smaller than the 7.2 we were welcomed with when we came to California & were staying in Palm Springs with Joe! LOL! Keira & I probably would have felt it, too, if we weren't in bed still sleeping. Heck no, we don't have anything secured. The only things that worry me a bit are televisions, bookcases, & my file cabinet. But our apartment is so small, that the cabinet & bookcases have nowhere to fall but up against something else! haha. I do think Hawaii is more beautiful than California, but it's difficult to be so far from friends & family there. Yes, Keira took to Stel rather quickly. She said, "At first I thought she was another mama! But then I realized she's Auntie Stela!" :-) Today we all went to the park for a picnic, even my dad, Joe & Chita, & Chewy! Boy did it just make Keira's entire week! She loves being around her family!

  3. Shiloh, my computer crashed for 3 days. 3 days without a computer is so horrible...I thought I was going to die. I wished I lived by Bob and he could have fixed it much faster for me. Does yours ever crash this days? What does your Dad do when his crashes? Does your brother work on fixing computers?

Your comment about having a house so small that if a earthquake did knock over your cabinet and bookcases they would just fall against something else was just too funny. Count your blessings Shiloh. I have a small apartment too and I call it a "doll house" and I am the "doll who lives in it". Big is nice but also MORE WORK. But I know how annoying it is to cook or put on your makeup in such a small space. I had a nicer apartment in CA. It had a huge amount of space everywhere. I loved the apartment but I was too lonesome for my family so returned to the small apartment.

    I hope I don't lose everything again.

    1. Well, I'm glad you were able to get it fixed! Yikes! Knock on wood, mine hasn't crashed recently, but it is old & slow, but I'm trying not to complain too much. :-) I count my blessings often. I hope you didn't lose stuff. That's the worst! My dad did the last time his crashed. So sad. He was in Mexico. I'm not sure who he had work on it. I don't think Joe knows much about fixing them, but I could be wrong. I'm blessed to have Bob around, for sure!
