This was a rose we picked up for our neighbor, Marie. Until we were able to get it to her, it sat in our kitchen. I like the way the sunlight was coming in the window & lighting up the bamboo & rose.
"Color-painting" in a little Tinkerbell book Daddy picked up for her.
I baked up the pumpkins for pies & roasted the seeds in the same fashion as we did the sunflower seeds before. Yummy goodness.
Keira was feeling much better about her appearance once she lost the scabs on her top lip. Here she is, goofing around in the mirror once again!
Laying claim to mama's new body pillow.
Getting back to quilting! Finishing up the kitty puff quilt for Stel & Jeff.
Having fun with chalk.
After a week of using Mederma, {a scar cream} all of the scabs are gone! Just some light spots on her forehead & nose left behind. We'll just keep on keepin' on, using that Mederma!
Dear Shiloh:
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful rose for Marie. I loved the sunlight coming through the window and falling on the bamboo and the rose. It is wonderful the way you find such pleasure in small, natural images such as the sunlight shinning through a window.
I am glad the scabs and scares are practically gone from Keira's beautiful face. I loved what she said about the mirrors in the bathroom--it hurts my feelings to see myself in the mirrors. I am so glad she can play in the mirrors again. That Mederma certainly worked well.
Of course Keira claimed your body pillow as her own. I sent Kathy some bathroom stuff for her birthday and Tilly gathered it all up after opening and put it in Tilly's bathroom to look at and use. I think it was so funny to me and I felt bad that Kathy didn't get to use her own birthday present that I sent another order to Tilly so she could have her own. When it comes to children you will never receive another present because they will always claim it as their own. This present was significant because Kathy picked out just what she wanted so it was special and that is why I felt bad that Tilly claimed it. Thank goodness it all worked out.
Did you take a picture of the pies? I bet they were delicious.
Love Joy
I'm sure you're right about nothing being your own any more once you have children, but I don't mind, sometimes anyway. That was a cute story about Kathy & Tilly. It's funny & sweet that you sent another order so Tilly could have her own. I'm sure it will be that way with Keira sometimes, too. No pictures of the pie yet, but I am going to make another pumpkin pie within the next day or two, so I will try to get some pics.
