Saturday afternoon we heard a knock at the door. Keira sprang into action, running in circles around the house like a chicken with her head cut off, shouting, "Someone's at the door! Someone's at the door!" It was a large box from Auntie Char! Keira took to playing it like a drum while I located my box knife.
Surprise! It was a box full of love!
So excited to go through all the goodies inside, which included clothes & toys for Keira, & a decorative butterfly to hang, along with a special message of love from our dear Auntie Char!
A completely unexpected & welcome surprise on an otherwise uneventful day. It really made our day & came just when we needed it most.
Keira's favorite thing was this little hamster that rolls across the floor. When it bumps into things with it's little hamster nose, he flips around & reverses course! How clever!
She named him "Hammie"! We are so blessed!
Dear Shi, how wonderful that Keira received such a fantastic box from Auntie Char. How many children did Char have? How about grandchildren? What state does she now live in? Did she remarry?
ReplyDeleteI loved Hammie, the hamster. Did Keira name him out of her imagination? or what??
Can't wait to see more?
Love Joy
I believe Charlotte has four children, Reilly, Tom, Shanna, & Chad, not necessarily in that order. I believe Reilly & Shanna both have 2 children each. Not sure about Tom. Chad hasn't been married or have children yet, to my knowledge. So Char has several grandkids at least. I'm sure she's loving every minute of it! She has remarried & still lives in AZ. Her hubby's name is Joe. They've been married for quite a while now. Chad lives with them. Yes, Keira named Hammie all by herself. From hamster, I suppose! I would love to show more, but sadly, my camera bit the dust yesterday. Bob is trying to work on it. Otherwise I will have to find a replacement. I guess they aren't just $10 on the internet. The only one I've been able to find is $65, yikes! So for now, I suppose I will just have to blog with photos I already have. It's a bummer, for sure:-/
