Sometimes she just gushes with sweetness.
I love finding her little surprises!
Painting fun for a hand print project.
Keira wanted to write a thank you note to the Dahlke's,
so I helped her out. So sweet!
So cool.
Trying to get some pics of the sunflower in bloom.
I really like how this shot turned out.
Even beautiful from the back.
Love her sweet smile!
Have I mentioned how sweet she is?
Our pride and joy!

Dear Shiloh:
ReplyDeleteKeira does ooze happiness. I attribute this to you and Bob. She does enjoy and appreciate life and all it has to give. Hope (Keep your finger crossed)this follows her into teenage-hood. When hormones get involved it is a new ball-game.
The note she wrote was so sweet and thoughtful to the Dahlkes.
How tall did "Ellie" grow this year? 7 feet? She looks so proud and tall. Your yard makes the apartment complex so beautiful. How many apartments are in your complex? The roses are spectacular, but I love the geraniums. I just love seeing their little petals peak out along the fence line.
Thanks for helping relieving my boring days with pictures and interesting comments.

Yes, the sunflowers probably got to be about 6 or 7 feet tall this year. Definitely not the 11 feet Ellie got to be last year! Oh well. They're still pretty though. They're drying out now. It's my pleasure to do this blog. Thanks for following along and for the sweet comments! xoxo
DeleteShiloh: I wanted to ask about finger painting. I can't imagine anything more fun to children. Tell me your process. I imagine that Keira has certain play clothes for finger painting. Is she an extremely neat child--one who doesn't like getting messy or dirty etc? Also, do you put down newspaper etc to catch the drippings? How much work is it to have her finger paint?
ReplyDeleteThat was funny that Keira put her lizards on the kettle handles etc. for you to find. Very imaginative!!
I still think you should put your photos in national geographic. That picture of the sunflowers and your yard is so spectacular.

It wasn't so much finger painting as just doing a hand print on canvas with the paint. It was more of a project. I'll be sure to get a pic of it and blog on it in upcoming weeks. I do usually make sure she's just in pajamas or play clothes for painting fun, but for this project everything was pretty controlled, so I just let her stay in her dress. Usually when she finger paints or plays with play-doh we have a drop cloth. When her and I are working on projects with paint we just put newsprint down on top of our working surface first. It's not much work. But I really do need to get some major house cleaning done when I start feeling better! Lots of things to get rid of! You're too kind, Joy. My pics are just mediocre, but I like them! And I'm glad you do, too! xoxo
