Since Keira and I were going to be in North Carolina for Father's Day this year, we celebrated it a week early. Together we made this little book for daddy. The cover photos, as well as many throughout the book, were actually taken by Keira herself. I asked her questions about daddy, and she provided the answers. She also picked out all the photos that would accompany each question. I think it turned out really cute! Daddy, of course, absolutely loved it! Keira actually memorized the entire little book so she could read it to him!

My daddy is...5 years old, and weighs...8 pounds.
He was born...at the hospital, & his favorite color is...blue.
My daddy's favorite superhero is...me!

My daddy's job is...to work in the garden...& on the house.
The 1st thing he does in the morning is...brush his teeth,
& he always laughs when I...make funny faces!
My daddy's favorite food is...pizza!
& his favorite thing to do is...play with me!

Keira makes up all kinds of stories. Time doesn't mean much but numbers do, she'll ask how long something might take and I'll say 5 hours. She starts counting, 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 times up! I laugh so hard.

ReplyDeleteDid Keira really say,"My Daddy is five, and he weighs 8 lbs? Also I loved her concept of time and when Bob said he would be 5 hours, she counted to 5 and exclaimed, "time is up"!!
I can just hear Bob saying, "Blah, Blah, Blah". I can also see him brushing his teeth each morning laying on his bed. The look on his face is just precious---he is still the dutiful son brushing his teeth as taught him by Mom and Dad as a young lad.
That is so sweet that Keira says he is her Super Hero.
You are so clever Shiloh. What a wonderful Father's Day gift. Some day I hope to get these pictures.

Yes, Keira really answered all the questions this way. Bob doesn't really say blah, blah, blah, she just got that from Peppa Pig, a little cartoon she watches, so that what she says.:-) She actually says that SHE is HIS superhero, LOL! Keira is #1 afterall. :-)
DeleteAlso, I thought I have sent you most of these pictures with Bob in them. Let me know which shots you haven't received and I will try to get them to you. The only recent pic Keira took just for this book was the shot of him brushing his teeth. Anyway, let me know. Thanks! xoxo
