Our little goofball.
Deliciousness from Keira's kitchen.
"Mama, look! I built a Hebrew temple!"
{ she must have overheard one of daddy's bible shows }
Too, cute!
Keira was in the middle of the kitchen floor, telling me a story with all of her church cards. When she got to the image of Christ with the little African boy, she proceeded, "...and this is me, when I died & I was with Jesus. He was holding me & taking me to the castle where he lives."
{ I love to hear Keira tell stories...& sing }
The little roadrunner that nests at the Dahlke's house, up the hill from where we live! Growing up in Arizona, I've seen my fair share of them. In fact, in junior high, I was a Rhodes Roadrunner. Yes, they were even our school mascot! This was the first time Keira has ever seen a roadrunner though! So cool!
Daddy & Keira looking through her new favorite 'I Spy' book.
Getting ready for Easter Sunday.
Well, I remembered to make sure that I hit "goggle" and "publish" on that last post. But if I still have the same problem this time then it must be some thing else.
ReplyDeleteI loved Keira saying this is my "Hebrew Temple". What a spiritual girl. Her imagination is so good--especially when she imagined she was the little black boy who died and Jesus took her/him to his castle in the sky. How beautiful!!!.
I loved Keira's little Easter balloon. Her picture holding her animal reminded me of her picture laying on the kitchen floor with her white princess dress. She is such a doll. What animal is she holding--a bear?
I am glad you found the camera and have a NEW one---now hopefully you will never BE With Out.
I think Busy Town is on Saturday or Sunday morning on one of the basic channels--2,4,6 or 8 in the morning time. I will try and notice next week.
Love Joy
If you're referring to the photo with Keira in daddy's shoes, she's holding her little monster. So cute! I'll try to keep my eyes open for the little busytown show, too. Thanks!
DeleteWell Shiloh, I guess I still have something to say about your last snippets. First off, what happened with your gallbladder. Are you still waiting to hear or has surgery been set?
DeleteTell me more about Keira's Hebrew Temple? I see the two sacks full of toys but what is in the first sack? It looks like a jack in the box that is all blue and big. Is that what it is?
I see your Easter eggs. Did you use food coloring, cool aide, or egg dieing from the grocery store?
That is the first road runner I have ever seen to. How cute. What sound do they make. Do they run after people. Tell me all you know about them.
The picture I love of Keira in Daddy's shoes and holding the Monster just reminds me of her laying on the kitchen floor just because it is soooo natural--hair just natural and smiling so relaxed. No pretense---just Keira.
What are you guys doing today?
Love Joy
Hi, Joy! Yeah, just waiting to hear back from the surgeon to schedule surgery. On Keira's hebrew temple, there's no jack in the box, though I can sort of see what you mean. The bottom box is just filled with little sheets of paper. There's a little package of tissue in front of it. Then on top of that is the shimmery blue balloon weight she has, with one of her little people behind it. Then she has her princess balloon weight on top of that, with another little person on the tippy top. That's it! We used the store bought dyes this year for our Easter eggs. Last year we did natural dyes using different foods & spices. Not so much planning went into this years festivities though. I haven't really heard any sounds from the roadrunners, that I can recall anyway. The roadrunner from Looney Tunes says: meep meep! :-) No, they don't run after people, they run away. They are capable of flying but choose not to, most of the time. Bob was doing yard work for the Dahlke's this week & he said he saw it, too, & that he thought it was so interesting & beautiful. Thank you so much for letting me know which pictures you adore of Keira. I already assume you adore all those with her & Bob, but it's good to know so I can be sure to include it when I am able to send prints next time. We're just hanging out at home today. Bob's working on helping our neighbor Jim work on the trim outside, repairing & repainting & such. I'm still working on Keira's ABC book & taking care of Keira & doing some cleaning. We need to get bathed & wash our hair today, too. It's warm & sunny here this weekend. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend as well! xoxo
