Snippets 6.52

It was officially Spring in my book, since Keira brought me flowers from the yard...

& we slept with the kitchen window open. aaaahhh...

It was so great of Uncle Joe & Tia Chita, not only to take us shopping, but to stay a few minutes & play with Chewy & Keira in the yard. It made her day! {& it made my day to hear her squeal & giggle with delight!}

Did I say Spring? Hmm,mmm *clears throat* I still meant it... I think. {even as our heater is running while I blog this!}

My little longfoot is quickly outgrowing her shoes, so mama is scrambling to take advantage of sales & such to purchase the next generation. We already have the next sandals {thanks, grannie} & tennies {bought on sale 2 years ago}, now she has her summer shoes {shown here - good for sand, water, mud, etc.}, & that leaves Sunday shoes to still find. Then we'll be good to go!

Our sweet girl on a Sunday afternoon.

  1. well, it would be officially spring to me if my child bought me beautiful flowers from the garden. It is always a double edge sword when your children pick you flowers from the neighbor's yard and with great love in their eyes hold them up for you to put in a vase. I can also feel and smells the gentle breeze through the open kitchen window. I still remember living in Moses Lake, WA and it not cooling off until 3am and the breeze flowing through the house.

    That was a lovely picture of Chita, Joe and Chewie playing with Keira in the front yard. I can hear Keira's sounds of delight from here.

    I am happy Keira has new shoes for summer. I loved the picture perfect picture of Keira on a Sunday Afternoon.

    Love, love, love

  2. Oh, I forgot to comment on the white snow, hail, or flowers in Keira's hair.
    What is it exactly? Very enchanting.

    1. Oh, it's just snow actually. She was happy to be sporting it in her hair. :-) I'm glad you like the pictures! Thanks for all your sweet comments. xoxo

  3. I don't remember snow falling in CA except Paradise once in a while. How often does it snow where you live? How long did snow last in the yard? Keira is a hoot--wearing snow in her hair.

    1. It has snowed a few times since I declared it was Spring, but it doesn't really stick around. It last snowed just a few nights ago, but unfortunately, Keira was already asleep & I wasn't about to wake her. By morning there was no sign of snow, but it began to snow again, but didn't stick. Oh well. All the mountain tops around us still have snow on them though. So at least we get to see it in the distance! :-)

  4. Shiloh, I am still fascinated by the snow in Keira's hair. I don't see any snow on the ground, so did she find some snow in a shady area that she put in her hair? Please tell me about it and how is happened to show up in her hair?

    I loved seeing Bob's smile as he showed the new sandals to Keira. I love seeing him smile at such simple things.

    I saw a post from Patty trying to console Gaby as her husband was in Ca. and she was very home-sick for family. Patty said "We will soon be there to torment you" So I guess Patty is still thinking they will go to Montana.

    1. The snow was coming down pretty hard in big flakes, but it wasn't sticking really. It made the ground a little slushy, but that's all. It shows up good in Keira's dark hair though. She was glad to be covered with it & have it melting into her face. I don't know about Chita's comment, as far as what specifically she was referring to, whether it was a visit or moving, or when. Yes, I like to see Bob's enjoyment of Keira, too; particularly when they're playing with play-doh, doing artwork, or working in the yard together. It's fun.
