A Peek at Our Week

It's been fairly uneventful around here lately. We've just been trying to get back to being 100% & get caught up all that has been postponed & procrastinated due to illness.

Keira loves playing matching card games with mama or daddy.

At the end of his work day, Daddy brought home a nice bathroom mirror & put it up in the kitchen, temporarily, so that Keira could play with her little toys.

Yes, this would be Keira, wearing her pink pony footie pajamas...upside-down. Footies on her hands, feet sticking out. She cracks me up!

With lingering concerns about Keira being able to keep enough food down that little esophagus of hers, we headed to the doctor, who also happened to be out ill this day. It was a long 2 hours as we waited for her colleagues to see Keira. Follow-up esophagram has been scheduled... for Thanksgiving week, of course.

Keira was so full of excitement to be going to town with Daddy to run some errands, that it just spilled out all over the place, even over taking along a water cracker for the journey! Silly girl.

Trader Joe's Fearless Flyers are so entertaining. I really like Trader Joe's, & this time of year!

Onward we go! So much awaits! Until we meet again, friends!

  1. Dear Shiloh:

The picture of the bathroom mirror was just spectacular. I imagine Keira is having so much fun playing with it arranging her stuff. However, does it drive you mad having it take so much of your counter space? Or do you use the table or a little side table to help out to cook etc?

Keira just looked do pretty waiting for the Dr. I loved the way she was dressed. Where did you get the cute little dress she was wearing?

When you said it spilled everywhere, were you talking about her excitement spilling out everywhere or did she empty her stomach again?

Keira is truly beautiful and her eyes are just so "knowing". She seems to know what is going on. She is so smart. She is such a good little girl.

    1. Yes, the mirror took up most of the kitchen counter, that's why it was there only temporarily. Whenever Bob has something in the kitchen that taking up a lot of space, I just say, "If you'd like dinner, come move your stuff!":-) Keira got that little cute outfit from our neighbors, Sharla & John Dahlke, who live down the road & are so gracious to us. They let us use their tree & ornaments for Christmas, & always make sure Keira gets birthday & Christmas presents. This year, for her birthday, she got that adorable outfit, new footie pajamas, & a princess book from them. They are angels, truly, & they just adore Keira. We are so blessed to have them in our lives! Yes, I was talking about her excitement spilling. No more throwing up, thank goodness!:-)

  2. I just had to mention this since I forgot in my last email. That was hilarious when Keira wore her footie PJ's upside down with the footsies on her hands and her feet in the arms. What a hoot. Yes, children are certainly entering with their imagination.

Keira is so well behaved at the Drs office. A friend told me about taking her 2 year old to the Drs. First he jumped all over the chairs, then in the Drs office he took all the instruments out of the drawers, then while she was talking with the Dr she looked at her boy and he was licking the fish bowl, and then while they were walking out he was licking all the walls. Aren't you glad you had a girl??

    1. Yes, Keira is imaginative & entertaining, for sure! She complained at the Dr.'s office about the long wait, but she's really very good. I'm the one getting into the tongue depressors & pulling things off the wall for her to play with! Bob pulled out one of the doctor's books & was showing Keira the inside of the human body. {She loves that kind of thing!} "I wanna see the eyeball again, daddy!", she'll say. I always wanted a girl, even though they can be so melodramatic at times! I would definitely be freaking out if she was licking anything at the doctor's office that wasn't sterile! Yup, I'm the melodramatic mama!:-)
