Well, these are the first of my cell pics. *sigh*. I will just be positive & grateful that at least I have something to catch a glimpse of the memories I'd like to document, even if they are grainy, blurry glimpses! Don't expect much more than one photo at a time though, as they are a pain not only to take, but also to get onto my computer.
I have finally introduced Keira to the joy of computer games! Not that she hasn't played games before. She tries her hand at Tetris, Pac-man, & Dig-dug from time to time when mama plays, but these are actually on the computer! I did a little digging to find some good games for toddlers & came up with three. The first is the Musical Instruments game from Fisher Price. She chooses between four different songs & style of music, & can then control whether the band plays together or if she just wants to hear a particular instrument from the band. The second is the Super Duper Dolphin game from Nick Jr. There is a bucket of fish, that when she clicks on it, the fish fly into the dolphins mouth & the dolphin will do a trick! These are fairly simple games just to introduce the kids to the computer & controlling/clicking of the mouse. The third game is Elmo's Coloring Book game from Sesame Street. It's rather simple as it does not require any clicking of the mouse. After the pictures are colored, they become animated, which is the fun part! Keira loves all three, & has spent a little time playing each new game on mama's computer!
Funny story: a couple days ago I set Keira up to play the Elmo Coloring Book game & she was coloring away when I could hear her getting frustrated. I asked her what the trouble was & she exclaims, "Elmo keeps telling me to color...& I AM coloring!!!" Trying to stifle my giggles, I just explain to her that he's trying to be encouraging whenever the crayon stops, & that if she doesn't want him to say that, she just needs to keep the little crayon moving along. Finding a new found sense of calm, Keira says, "Thank you for telling me the truth, Mama!", & went right back to coloring! I just thought to myself, welcome to the wonderfully frustrating world of computers, Keira! Haha!

Dear Shiloh:
ReplyDeleteThat was interesting about all the trouble you go to now to send a post and picture. I suppose it is like me learning to do the blog correctly. Now that I finally can do it, I love it. Yes, the pictures aren't as good as with Sally, but at least I get your comments which I love equally. You have such a talent for writing which I have exclaimed before.
I loved seeing Keira on the computer. I loved when she exclaimed, "Thanks Mom for telling me the truth" about Elmo and what happens when you don't KEEP moving the crayon. As you said, oh the joys of computers and the frustrations.
I loved about the dolphins catching the fish in their mouth. Keira looked very pretty sitting at the computer.
Thanks for documenting Keira's life.
Love Joy
Thanks, Joy! I can only hope that someday she will appreciate all the documentation as much as we do!:-)
