Welcome to the Blogoshpere

So, here I sit, writing my first blog entry. I had heard of blogs over the years, even watched Julie & Julia a couple years back, which was based on a woman & her blog about cooking through Julia Child's cookbook, but never quite understood what exactly a blog was, nor had my interest peaked enough to find out. So how did I get here? Well, several months ago, via Facebook, I discovered Pinterest, which led to a multitude of new & exciting discoveries! Among all my Pinspiration, I happened upon several blogs that peaked my interest. At first I just bookmarked them as favorites & checked in once in a while to see if there were any new posts. Then I actually subscribed to a few. And now, the idea is growing on me. I don't post much on Facebook except for photos of Keira to share with friends & family, but I rather like the idea that blogs are much more personal, even though they are public at the same time. Facebook allows the option of subscribing or not, as well, but for some reason, a blog seems more appealing. And as I have mulled the idea over these past few days, I find myself composing blog posts in my head & thinking...why not just take the plunge & see how it goes? So this is the first post on my web log. Hello, Blogoshpere!
