I found this beauty at Trader Joe's earlier this month. I had to splurge & make the purchase for several reasons. First of all, I fell in love with fuschias way back when we lived in Pullman, over 10 years ago now. Our little apartment was on the shady side of the building & we would get a lush hanging basket each year, that would thrive outside our front door. The blossoms would just be suspended there at eye level, beckoning our enjoyment of them. Oh, how I loved those fuschias! Second, the antique terra cotta pot was discovered at a California ranch that dates back to 1908, & I just love the patina on it. Third, I just happened to have five dollars in my pocket. So you see, I truly just had to do it! Actually, I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase three of them, two as gifts for our generous neighborhood sisters who do so very much for us, Marie & Sharla. They are always shuttling us to do laundry or attend church meetings, even doctor appointments & shopping. We are so grateful for them & I wanted to do a little something to say thanks. I hope they enjoy them as much as I do.
