Our week started off with an awesome, much anticipated visit from Auntie Stel & Uncle Jeff! Stel hasn't seen Keira since she was in the NICU in SLC just after she was born, and it was so good to finally meet Jeff in person after all this time! They brought these balloons for Keira. Made her day!
More bath paint fun for Keira! As you can see, she took full advantage of the opportunity!
A little get together with the whole family at the park. Joe & Chita are off to the right of this shot, with Chewy, and Bob & Keira were on the playground. Chalk it up to the short visit, or perhaps just all the excitement, but it was a complete sister/project lifer FAIL that I didn't get any photos of us together, or with Grandpapi & Joe during their visit! Aargh!
At the party shop around the corner. I swear I didn't realize we had easy access to balloons, until Jeff & Stel came & told me that's where they had picked up the Hello Kitty for Keira! Duh!
I try to take pictures of the dry erase drawings that daddy leaves for her, & she's always photobombing them! Too cute!
Our hot water heater was out of commission for a couple days, but this mama wanted a shower! So I had to settle for a bath.
Keira loves waking up to messages from daddy. If she doesn't get one for a couple days, you can bet she'll be requesting it!
How wonderful--your visit with your lovely sister, and Jeff. They make a good looking couple. The pizza looks fabulous. I wish you had gotten pictures of you and Stel. I used to be so good about getting pictures, but with Heidi being so particular, and now Em is worse, it takes a lot of fun out of it so I don't take as many pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love Keira's bath works photo. What a hoot!! At least you have a very clean tub and little girl. You having to boil water on top of the stove to take a bath reminds me of the good ole days and Aunt Mary. I even remember her going out to the well naked and jumping in for a bath. Thank goodness our neighbors were our relatives.

It was funny because we got together at the park & just brought our own dinner, so papi brought pizza, Keira had her "old mac donalds" happy meal, & Stel & I had fish tacos. So what are Heidi & Em particular about? Themselves & their appearance? You could always document the moments anyway, just don't shoot portrait style photos. For example, just catch their arm & drink at the table, or the clothes they're wearing, or their legs & shoes!:-) So did Aunt Mary boil water for her baths? "Thank goodness our neighbors were our relatives." haha, that's so funny:-) Bob has drawn Keira to look more like a teenager a couple times, and I'm always like... NOOOO!!! She's growing rapidly enough all by herself, thank you!:-) Yes, Jeff's a great guy. So glad he & Stel are married.
DeleteWell, on Heidi and Em being particular. Heidi is so vain, that unless her photo is picture perfect and she looks like a model she won't let you post it. That was a very good suggestion to take a picture off center of just their arm or leg. I guess you learned that from taking pictures of Bob. I have to admit though that one of my favorite pictures of Heidi was when she was 6 months pregnant and yelled "No!!! take my picture" She had red trim on her clothes and I put in a frame with red little flowers. I simply love it, LOVE IT and Love it some more. Em problem is the color of her skin. She has silky, smooth, white skin. She has the Scandinavian skin color which she hates and loves caramel skin color. My skin color is medium so of course her's is always whiter than mine and she won't let me post no matter how sweet and cute. What's a photographer to do????Thanks for the good suggestion--I will try.
ReplyDeleteI think it is neat that Bob can see Keira as a teenager, but I can see why it would bother you. They do grow up tooooo FAST. She will be a beautiful teenager and have beautiful children of her own someday. I know, Be Quite Joy, don't say that. Enjoy Shiloh, while Keira is young
